Larimer County, CO. – A resident of Larimer County is accusing a so-called “psychic” for scamming over $100,000.00 from her. The man told her that in order to keep her money safe for her, he was keeping it in a cave.

After the woman realized that she was never going to see her money again last summer, she decided to report him to her local sheriff’s office.

It was there that the woman told the authorities of how she began seeing the psychic, from Loveland, CO., at his house in 2009. She states that was getting ready to retire and that she thought it “would be fun” to have a psychic reading.

The “psychic”, 60-year-old Adam Marks, told her that she was being held back from having true happiness and that he could fix that by clearing her energy blockages that were the cause of it. They then developed a relationship that lasted about a year.

She told investigators that Marks would ask her for money on a frequent basis; the money was supposedly to assist her in healing her negative aura, to help her meditate, and to deal with the “huge angel” who was protecting her.

The court documents filed by an investigator in the case state that the woman was reassured by Marks time and time again that her money was safe and was being stored in Estes Park, CO in a cave that was on church property” and that he also told her  “he needed the power of the money and the faces on the money to put on the altar to add power to his meditative fight with the evil…”

The victim, whose identity is being kept from the public since she is considered a protected victim due to her age, states that she helped Marks purchase new furniture for himself, and she is pretty sure her money was used by him to travel with his children. When she asked him for her money back in April of 2012, her request was denied.

During their yearlong relationship, the woman and Marks spoke of his children, and he told her that he had two of his children with him and that his father in Fort Collins was raising another child of his. His father is John Marks and he was convicted of murdering his wife, Kathy Adams, aka “Psychic Kay”, back in 2012.

Marks is currently incarcerated at Larimer County Jail and is facing a charge of stealing more than $20,000; his court date is set for later this month.
