You might be shocked when you read psychic Pat Bussard’s book titled “Thirty True Tales of the Weird, Unusual and Macabre”, written in 2013.
“Primarily, the unseen world is just as real as what our five senses can discern,” writes Bussard. “That we are more than we have ever dreamed and what we can experience as an individual and what we are capable of as part of the human collective is limitless. It is this aspect of the preternatural that inspired me to seek out and interview some of the most notable subject experts on a wide range of paranormal phenomena.”
“Listening to the Dead”, “Fourteen Ghosts (and Counting)”, “Water Witch”, “A Brief History of Ghosts”, and “Hospital of Souls” are just a few examples of some of the chapter titles in the Southwest Virginia physic medium’s book.
That is just the beginning though…
She also has chapters titled “Zodiac Panic”, “When Death was Grand and the Dead Were Puppets”, and “The Future is in the Cards”.
There is a chapter titled “Hunting the Elusive Ghosts” where Bussard writes about the famous Sensabaugh Tunnel which is located right outside of Kingsport, Tennessee.
“The story behind the Sensabaugh Tunnel is really unknown, however, there are many variations of a story with the recurring characters of the Sensabaugh family, father, mother and baby, and in most variations, a murdering hobo.”
People who have visited this tunnel say it is creepy and legend has it that if you turn your car off in there, it will have a hard time starting back up.
“Individuals who have visited the site have reported the piteous crying of a woman and/or a baby,” writes Bussard in her book. “Orbs, shadows, and full body apparitions have also been reported. With so many eyewitness accounts of paranormal activity at the Sensabaugh Tunnel, this location would appear to have earned its place on legend tripping maps.”
The Bristol Train Station in Bristol, Virginia has the same creepy legend behind it as well.
In the same chapter titled “Hunting the Elusive Ghosts”, the medium writes in detail about HAUNT, a ghost hunting team. She tells of the time they picked up the “scream of a woman coming from the train track outside the station, which was picked up on a digital audio recorder” at 1 in the morning one day.
She explores what could be hiding inside the Appalachian Caverns in Blountville, Tennessee in a different chapter.
“How many spirits are reported to wander the underground and grounds of the Appalachian Caverns? Some reports are as high as 30. However, whether there is one spirit or 30 that inhabit this dark nether-world, if you have an opportunity to journey deep into his underground land, listen carefully,” she writes.
“The voices you hear may be echoes from the past.”
