Scientists Study Psychedelics To See If They Can Make Us Psychic

Although unknown to most, scientists have been performing carefully controlled experiments on psychic phenomena. They are studying psychokinesis, telepathy, remote viewing, and various other psychic abilities. Determined scientists have been gathering scientific evidence for these psychic phenomena for over a century.

Despite this, most scientists are unaware of how much evidence exists. Psi researchers had to continuously redesign hundreds of studies and experiments when they received comments and feedback from critics. Their results produced minor but significant effects for psi phenomena: precognition, psychokinesis, and telepathy.

Psychologist Dean Radin studied the results of these studies. He states that a meta-analysis performed on this research revealed that the experiment’s positive results were significant, and they had odds of many billions to one. Other respectable institutions have also researched these phenomena for years.

These include Duke University, Princeton University, the Institute of Noetic Science, the Stanford Research Institute, and the U.S. and Russian governments. Conventional science has been unable to explain the results of the findings. Radin has summarized all the research in a book titled The Conscious Universe. Several peer-reviewed scientific journals have also published research findings over the past century.

The Controversy Surrounding Psychic Phenomena

psychic controversy

People have no problem sharing their personal experiences with psychic events that have happened to them. For example, when people have extraordinary coincidences, supernatural premonitions, communication that seems telepathic, or clairvoyant-type dreams, they usually tell others. Scientific studies help to confirm the life experiences that some people have claimed to have. Since we still don’t understand the mechanism for these incidents, some scientists aren’t convinced and doubt that psychic phenomena can exist.

About 78% Of The Population Has Had Unexplainable Psychic Experiences

unexplainable psychic experiences

Despite the doubtfulness surrounding the subject, biologist Rupert Sheldrake researched it. His studies showed that about 78% of the population had had “psychic” experiences that were inexplicable at some point. The results of other scientists researching these phenomena help validate Sheldrake’s findings. Aside from the inexplicable psychic experiences, many also reported experiencing psychic experiences that felt very meaningful and other paranormal events when under the influence of psychedelic drugs. These are very difficult to explain using conventional reasoning.

Of 150 experienced marijuana users, 76% believed in ESP and reported having experienced “psychic” feelings while on the drug.

Scientists found this out thanks to a questionnaire study by psychologist Charles Tart. Other scientists have conducted several smaller-scale scientific studies to learn how LSD, psilocybin, and mescaline may affect telepathy and remote viewing. According to psychologist Jean Millay, one of these small scientific studies was done in 1997 by students at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

The students researched whether using psilocybin could induce or influence remote viewing. There were only 12 test subjects, making it a small experiment. However, the results revealed that the subjects who took psilocybin reached a success rate of 58.3 percent, which is statistically significant. In 2010, a new edition of the 1964 book ESP Experiments With LSD-25 and Psilocybin: A Methodological Approach was published.

Charles Tart prefaced the newly republished edition. He stated in his introduction, “this study remains as important today as when it was first published, and will hopefully guide a new generation of researchers to finding the knowledge we need!” The Spring 2011 MAPS Bulletin about psychedelics and the mind/body connection features a magnificent review article. It combines all the psychic phenomena and psychedelic research; you can find it here.

Science Can’t Explain The Sense of Being Stared At Phenomena

being started at sense

You know the feeling. You’re minding your business when you suddenly feel someone staring at you. Scientists wanted to get to the bottom of this ability and experimented. Their experiment involved blindfolding subjects to see if they could sense someone behind them staring at them. Through this experiment, scientists discovered that one subject, in particular, could sense when someone was staring at him more than the others.

They later found out he was under the influence of MDMA. It would be interesting to conduct an entire study solely on subjects using MDMA because it could help us determine if the drug makes people more aware that someone is staring at them. Another very potent hallucinogenic juice called ayahuasca grows in the Amazon. It has the incredible ability to induce telepathy, remote viewing, psychokinesis, clairvoyance, and precognition.

The main chemical component in ayahuasca that causes these feelings is almost named “telepathine.” Due to its psychic feelings, ayahuasca could use more exploration and in-depth research. Unfortunately, only there are only a few studies done showing its health benefits. By studying it more, we could learn about its ability to stimulate psychic phenomena and use it to our advantage.

By continuing to dose subjects with different psychedelic and hallucinogenic drugs and plants, we can expand on the studies that have already been conducted and have generated positive results. It would be interesting to see which drugs or plants would score higher or improve the current test scores. Opening our minds to new and previously unimagined possibilities would be an exciting achievement. Accessing clairvoyant abilities and harnessing telepathic powers would be a fantastic feat unlike any other we’ve experienced.
