California Psychic Doesn’t Believe The World Will End In 2012

Santa Cruz, CA. – Should we consider adding extra food and emergency supplies to our Christmas shopping list this year? According to California psychic Susie Stevens, that won’t be necessary. Stevens doesn’t think we should worry about it; we should just shop and prepare for the holidays because she doesn’t think we’ll see the end of days yet.

Psychic Susie’s been getting numerous calls from people worried about the last date in the Mayan calendar- December 21st, 2012. She recently gave an interview to a newspaper in which she talked about what she foresees for the upcoming months. She begins the interview by saying, “I’m getting call after call from panicked people, but this is a good thing.” Stevens believes it’s good because of the massive planetary line-up that is coming for those who believe in astrology.

Stevens claims that six of our most significant planets- Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Venus, and Mars- will be in a remarkable position. Since they are incompatible planets, they will “battle each other” for the next two to three years. This battle, she says, will bring many things to a head, good things and bad things. “It’s a traffic jam of planets at each other, which all have an agenda,” she says.

“But it does cause breakthroughs. With this alignment, we’ll see a lot of good, powerful breakthroughs, and Sagittarius and Capricorn will get it the most.” When asked if the date 12/12/12 had any significant meaning, she said that 12 signifies “completion” in numerology. Although many people got married that day, Stevens doesn’t think it was a good day for a marriage. “It’s an intense day; I wouldn’t have gotten married that day,” she says. “I would have run to my psychic to resolve any issues I had.”

It’s Soon To Be A Great Time For Politics

Stevens believes the next few years will be an excellent time for political issues. She states that President Obama (a healer in her eyes) will do astonishingly well. She feels global warming will be more accepted and recognized in about three to five years. The psychic also believes the upcoming months will be a good time for police departments everywhere to do a better job policing their cities. She especially feels it will be a great time to re-open and solve cold cases.

Stevens foresees the following natural disasters as having to do with water. She believes this because Saturn has been in the water sign of Scorpio since the beginning of October. Speaking locally about Santa Cruz, California, she predicts the economy will be booming again by spring 2013. She sees the upper side of Pacific Avenue experiencing a makeover, with high-tech and high-fashion businesses replacing several shops.

“I see fashion shows that will bring in attractive energy and a photography shop with animals and music,” says Stevens. She says she has received a lot of questions about the next Californian earthquake, and she believes it will occur in the area of Los Angeles. She sees the year 2013 as being a year of hope for the city of Santa Cruz. “And someday, Watsonville and Santa Cruz will fall in love,” she says. “The prediction for that is 2015.”

Even NASA Isn’t Immune To Questions

Stevens was raised a catholic and profoundly believes in God. She believes ‘He’ is the only one who knows what will happen. She adds that planets don’t cause human behavior; they influence it. “I actually feel things are going to get better, and I’ve seen too much to be a pessimist,” she states. Even NASA was not immune to questions about 12/21/21 being the world’s end.

Many flooded them with questions of this nature, so they decided to post a statement on their website debunking the idea that this could be the end. “Our planet has been getting along just fine for more than 4 billion years, and credible scientists worldwide know of no threat associated with 2012,” says NASA. According to them, the myth began with claims that the planet Nibiru is on a path headed straight to Earth.

Early civilizations first predicted this event in May 2003 but later changed it to December 2012. They changed it because of a link between that and the end of one of the cycles in the old Mayan calendar. A website at has a seconds countdown to this date. They have stories related to the supposed upcoming apocalypse.

One of these is a story from Edinburgh, Scotland that details how the search for a one-way airplane ticket to two known sheltering towns- France and Turkey- is up by more than a third, according to Skyscanner, a travel search website. They also have a story from the New York Times about how Russia’s minister of emergencies announced that the world would not end. He had to make this statement after a group of prisoners in a women’s prison complained of experiencing “a collective mass psychosis.”

The Worry Extends Worldwide

In a different town, frightened townspeople cleared store shelves of emergency supplies. Other people in the city even built a sizeable Mayan-style archway out of the ice on the ground. The leaders of Bolivia are also using this date to make changes to the country. David Choquehuanca, the Bolivian minister of external affairs, has stated that he will outlaw Coca-Cola on the same day the Mayan calendar enters a new cycle; this is an attempt to mark the end of capitalism.

The Pasadena Star-News published a story about a new catastrophe prep group in Los Angeles. They state that being prepared in the case of a disaster has become its own culture. The National Geographic show “Doomsday Preppers” has been a popular hit series on their network since its debut, further highlighting people consumed by the impending doom.

Carter Wilson is a UC Santa Cruz professor emeritus specializing in Mayan culture. He states that the Mayans were exceptional astrologers with two calendars- one long count and one short count calendar. He believes that the date when those calendars intersect is of significant importance. “That doesn’t necessarily mean anything is going to change. It’s amusing; it’s been a big tourism boon in Mexico.

You can’t get a hotel room in the Yucatan area,” says Wilson. “But when people ask me about it, I tell them this is about as important to the Maya as the year 2000 was for us,” he says. He also adds that understanding the Mayan culture concerning the subject of prophecy is confusing because they often speak in future tense about things that have already happened.
