Police Arrest Massachusetts Palm Reader in $70,000 Demon Exorcism Scam

Police arrested a self-proclaimed psychic/palm reader named Tracey Milanovich in Massachusetts just days after Christmas. Authorities accused her of scamming over $70,000 from a woman who came to her for help. Milanovich convinced the victim that her 10-year-old daughter had a demon inside her.

Allegedly, she told her it needed to be exorcised and took her money to supposedly remove it. Somerset Police say that Milanovich carried this scam out of her private business, Tracy’s Psychic Palm Reader, in Somerset, Massachusetts. According to the police report, the victim went to see 37-year-old Milanovich on November 15th.

By the time she left, Milanovich had convinced her that a demon possessed her daughter. Milanovich, also known as Ms. Tracy, lied to the victim and told her that her daughter “had something inside of her that was bad” and that she was “dead in God’s eyes,” according to the police report. In addition, Milanovich told the victim she would have to “purchase her daughters soul back” if she wanted to keep her safe.

As a result, the victim gave the con artist a large chunk of money. However, Milanovich continued to ask her for more every day following the initial consultation. Milanovich kept telling the victim that previous payments only cleansed “part” of her daughter’s soul and that she needed more money to remove the demon thoroughly.

Somehow, The Scamming Psychic Won Her Victim’s Trust

Unfortunately, the victim placed her complete trust in Milanovich. She paid what the psychic asked to keep her daughter out of harm’s way, as she was made to believe. Allegedly, Milanovich told the victim that she would exorcise the demon out of her daughter by taking it out of her body and placing it inside one of her Barbie dolls. In addition, she told the victim not to tell anyone about what was happening.

If she did, the “spirits would know” if she talked about it, and it wouldn’t work. She convinced the victim that aside from a lot of money, this would also take expensive household items. As a result, the victim was scammed out of about $71,000 and purchased various household items, including luxury bedding and towels. Fortunately, the victim decided to tell her husband what was happening, and he contacted the local authorities.

Police then launched a formal investigation against Milanovich on December 17th. After enough evidence and a warrant for her arrest, police were able to arrest Milanovich. She is now facing charges of theft, intimidation of a witness, and numerous counts of obtaining property over $250 by trick. Somerset police ask that anyone who believes Milanovich scammed them call them at 508-679-2138.
