Famous Presidents That Consulted Psychics

Since the beginning of time, people have been fascinated with the mystic and the unknown. From ordinary to high-profile people, psychic readings have benefited everybody. We try to do our best in everything, but sometimes life throws us a curveball. These can be confusing and cause us to lose our path. We often turn to the mysterious and the unknown during times like this to better understand our lives.

Examples of the mysterious include psychic readings, clairvoyance, tarot, astrology, and spirit readings. Our curiosity regarding the future prompts us to seek psychic consultancy. As I mentioned, online psychic readings are sought after by ordinary and famous people. People with high-ranking and influential positions take advantage of psychic gifts by consulting them regularly. Ask any psychic, and they’ll tell you how business professionals and CEOs of the biggest companies reach out to them.

They guide and advise them concerning important business and corporate decisions. Throughout US history, many of its Presidents have been loyal followers of psychic readings. They have consulted powerful mediums in times of great distress, both politically and personally. I can’t imagine a more demanding role than that of a president. They’re responsible for making some of the most critical decisions for their country.

George Washington

George Washington

President Washington knew of the birth, development, and future of the United States from an apparition he once had. It was of a mysterious woman who told him about the United States and its significance in the world. President Washington revealed this in 1778 to his close friend and confidant, Anthony Sherman.

Sherman was one of Washington’s closest and most trustworthy friends. He fought alongside him and later wrote a book about his time with Washington. Sherman spoke about the psychic vision Washington had shared with him in the book. Washington told Sherman that during the darkest hours of the Revolutionary War at Valley Forge when things were bleakest and seemed hopeless, a strange woman appeared in his tent.

Washington asked her why she was there, but she kept staring at him without answering. When she finally did speak, she had a lot to say. He felt it all like a vision. She told him, “Son of the Republic, look and learn,” and she began laying out the future of a new nation that would soon be born. The country she was referring to was The United States of America.

She Laid It All Out For Washington

This woman showed him how this new nation would extend from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. She told him it would become “heavily populated with villages and towns and cities springing up one after another.” She said this would continue until these cities dotted the entire country from the east coast to the west coast. When the visions concluded, Washington told Sherman, “I started from my seat and felt that I had seen a vision that showed me the birth, progress, and destiny of the United States.”

This visit and the visions she provided him gave President Washington the strength to hold his troops together and keep fighting, even though they ran out of food and disease was killing them at an alarming rate. That vision fortified him, and he began training his soldiers with new tactics. They fought tirelessly after that and went on to win the war in 1783. That gave birth to The United States of America as we know it.

Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln

President Lincoln was perhaps the most active participant and follower of the psychic world. During psychic gatherings, he used to partake in alternate universes and had his own visions. It’s no secret that President Lincoln and his wife, Mary Todd, were very much believers in the psychic realm. One of Mary’s favorite psychics envisioned Lincoln’s assassination.

It all began when he and his wife lost their son, Willie. Not only was Lincoln trying to battle his depression, but he was also trying to win a war and successfully run a nation. All these things kept him occupied, but Mary had nothing to distract her from the loss. She was overcome with grief and wanted desperately to speak with her deceased son.

Spiritualism was very popular at the time, and she contacted several mediums. They held several séances in the White House, and Lincoln attended most of them but not all. Of all the mediums she reached out to for help, her favorite was a man from England named Charles Colchester, and he was the one who gave them the most accurate information. Colchester also warned the presidential couple about Lincoln’s impending assassination at the theater.

Franklin D. Roosevelt

Franklin Roosevelt

President Roosevelt received guidance from psychic readings regarding political matters before and during World War II. The advice mostly revolved around International Relations. During the bleakest moments of World War II, President Roosevelt was desperate. He needed divine intervention or some sort of vision to survive the war.

In 1944, he called a famous clairvoyant named Jeane Dixon into the oval office, and she consulted him on both military and personal matters. He asked her when the war would end, and she answered that it would be over sometime after mid-1945. She was right, but unfortunately, Roosevelt died a few months before it ended.

Dixon is best known for foretelling the election and death of John F. Kennedy. In 1956, she predicted that a Democrat would win the 1960 presidential election and the elected Democrat would “be assassinated or die in office.” This shocking prediction being correct drove other famous people, including other presidents, to consult her.

Richard Nixon

Richard Nixon continued President Roosevelt’s tradition of consulting Dixon once he became president. He used his secretary, Rose Mary Woods, as the middle-man between himself and Dixon and jokingly referred to Dixon as ‘the soothsayer”. He had Woods consult Dixon in 1971, and she told them that she had visions of a terrorist attack. That vision prompted Nixon to form a counterterrorism committee, and a few months after, the Munich Massacre occurred.

Nixon referenced “the soothsayer” Jeane Dixon and the predictions she gave him in the Nixon White House tape recordings. He speaks about the terrorist attack vision she had and asks what would have happened if they hadn’t listened to her and something terrible had occurred. He then suggests they need contingency plans for “hijacking, for kidnapping, for all sorts of things that can happen.”

Ronald Reagan

Ronald Reagan

President Reagan and his wife, Nancy Reagan, were firm believers of psychic readings. Many believe President Reagan survived his controversial term thanks to the help of a psychic named Joan Quigley, whom Nancy Reagan used to consult daily. A White House aide during Reagan’s tenure provided evidence of this. She told the public that every significant decision and move made by the president was consulted “in advance with a woman in San Francisco.”

Nancy Reagan hoped to keep her consults with Quigley a secret by paying her through a third party. She was allegedly very embarrassed when news of their consultations reached the public. In her 1989 book My Turn, she wrote, “While astrology was a factor in determining Ronnie’s schedule, it was never the only one, and he never based a political decision on it.” Quigley, however, begged to differ and told The Los Angeles Times that she would “participate in a more intimate way than the publicly recognized insiders of greatest importance.”

She also wrote a book titled ‘What Does Joan Say?: My Seven Years As White House Astrologer to Nancy and Ronald Reagan’. She stated in the book that she was in charge of timing all press conferences, most speeches, the State of the Union addresses, the takeoffs and landings of Air Force One, all his trips, and times for debates with Walter Mondale and Jimmy Carter. Nancy Reagan has since addressed her consults with the psychic, and she said that it was all done with her husband and his safety in mind.

These Presidents Didn’t Stop At Anything To Be Good Leaders

Famous United States presidents never left a stone unturned when doing what’s best. They were very fascinated and eager to know about their future and the future of the country they ruled. Considering how much psychic readings have shaped the destination of a country, it’s no wonder that so many of us have also benefited from consulting a trustworthy psychic!
