Los Angeles, CA.- John Powers is a detective with Riverside County Sheriff’s Detective. He told KFI-AM radio that a psychic named Pam Ragland led police to the body of missing 11-year-old Terry Smith.
Ragland states that she heard the description of Terry when he first went missing, then had a psychic vision later. The vision showed her the location of a body that matched the description of him given by the authorities. After discovering Terry’s body, his 16-year-old half-brother became the murder suspect, and the police arrested him.

Powers states that Ragland called the tip line and told them about her vision. Police then asked her to accompany them on the search, and she agreed. In an interview with CBS Los Angeles, Ragland said she knew where to look for his body. “I saw him like under a tree, kind of laying down- like he was sleeping. I saw the city was far away, and there was a dirt road.”
Powers states that police had previously searched where Ragland found Smith’s body but didn’t locate him. Ragland (accompanied by her children) arrived at a house unaware that it was where Terry had been living. She walked onto the property and went straight to the partially buried body. After discovering the body, Ragland was asked to go to the police station for questioning. She complied and was later let go.
The police report confirms that Smith’s body was found by Ragland, not by police or search members. Learn about how psychics can be to police during investigations.
