Have you ever gotten a Tarot card reading and freaked out when a seemingly scary card revealed itself? I have, and it was not a pleasant feeling! I felt a sense of panic and sadness at the mention of the card because I was assuming the worst. Once the psychic explained the card to me and its role in my life, I understood and calmed down.
It’s important to know that these scary-sounding Tarot cards don’t necessarily foreshadow an unfortunate string of luck or a bad omen. Many of the worst-sounding cards symbolize awesome things that will happen, are happening, or have happened to you. The Devil Tarot Card
The Devil card is one of the most frightening when it turns up during a Tarot reading. It’s so controversial and dreadful to some that they can’t deal with it if drawn. They shut down and think the worst. This reaction makes sense, considering that demonic or satanic seeming images can invoke primal feelings of horror, terror, and dread.
These are perfectly natural responses if you don’t know what you’re dealing with, which is why being aware will set you at ease. Despite what most people believe, the Devil card is a good thing! It represents breaking free from a confined existence and symbolizes pleasure. Having this card drawn during a reading means it’s time to set yourself free from things holding you back.
It means you need to let go of any past baggage that’s keeping you down, and you need to discover what makes you feel truly alive. It represents detaching yourself from toxic relationships, overcoming addictions, reclaiming your power, and finding independence. When you do the opposite of these things (stay in unhealthy relationships, get addicted to drugs, lose your freedom), you feel like you have no choice in the matter and that this is just how your life is.
Don’t be fooled; this is just an illusion the Devil has created for you in your mind. It is not true, and you always have the power to change anything you don’t like in your life. If it’s something you can’t change physically, you can change how you feel about it and stop letting it ruin your life.
The Death Tarot Card
It’s normal to start thinking about your mortality if a psychic draws the Death card. We have been taught to fear death and anything related to dying. However, you can rest assured that this card doesn’t symbolize the actual end of you or someone you know. The Death card usually represents spiritual transformations, significant life changes, and new beginnings- not the death of a person. It signifies the end of something old so that a new, exciting, positive phase can be born.
These changes and transformations can be sudden, unexpected, challenging, and even traumatic, like death. They need to happen, though, so you can have a new lease on life. No matter how challenging or scary the Death card’s changes can be, try not to fight or resist them. Resistance will only make things more difficult. Embrace them instead as a fresh new start, and try to look forward to this next phase of your life.
The Fool Tarot Card
Seeing or being told that a psychic drew the Fool card might make many people feel “less than bright.” Some might get defensive and angry with the reader, but that’s unnecessary. Having the Fool card drawn does not mean you’re acting foolishly or being a dummy. It means that it’s time you start acting more spontaneously and having more fun. It means not worrying so much about the things you can’t control and being more present.Â
This card is trying to tell you that you shouldn’t take yourself so seriously all the time. Live a little! Take some fun risks, do things out of your comfort zone, and don’t try to plan everything down to the last minute. You’ll notice how freeing this can be. This card can also mean you’re on the verge of a new, exciting adventure. This new adventure might require you to take a giant leap of faith, but you can do it! You will grow spiritually and mentally if you allow yourself to take on this new challenge.
The Hermit Tarot Card
If someone who already feels lonely has the Hermit card drawn, it may make them believe that being alone forever is their destiny. That would be pretty sad news if that’s what the Hermit card meant, but fortunately, it doesn’t mean that. This card indicates you’re entering a period of taking some alone time for yourself. It means you need this quiet time to learn, self-reflect, and find your inner peace.Â
Life can get pretty draining if you always neglect yourself to be there for others, so this “only you” time is crucial. Only doing things for other people is the quickest way to get burned out and fall into a rut. Self-reflection and learning about yourself are integral to living your best life. Don’t get caught up in what everyone else needs from you; make sure you’re doing everything possible to nurture yourself.
This can mean different things for different people, but we often can’t look deep within ourselves to see what we need unless we take some time away and unplug from the rest of the world for a couple of days, weeks, or weeks months even. Remove yourself from the daily grind and start doing things you enjoy. Schedule a mountain retreat, do yoga every day, or go for a long trail run where it’s just you and nature at its finest.
As you can see, these four cards may seem bad, but they’re far from it. Knowing this before getting a Tarot reading will be more accurate since you’ll be more responsive to the information given. You will also feel calmer during the reading, and your psychic can sense your relaxed energy and vibe.
