Medium Maria Review – Is Maria Medium A Scam?

I’ve encountered many con artists throughout my mission to expose fraudulent psychics and their scams. The latest one I want to debunk goes by the name of “Medium Maria.” Many have asked me about her, so I researched and reviewed her. Some also know her as “Maria Medium.” On her website, Medium Maria claims she’s spent the last 15 years developing her numerology, tarot, clairvoyant and psychic abilities.

She also states that being a psychic medium runs in her family. Her great-grandmother was famous for her psychic abilities and supposedly regularly gave readings to royal families. She adds that her mother inherited her great-grandmother’s psychic skills, which were welcomed in many ‘Great Houses’ worldwide in the last century.

It was only natural, she says, that her family initiated her into the psychic world at a young age. She says that she always intends to learn and study the paranormal sciences to stay current on everything happening and further develop her clairvoyant skills. She claims this helps her provide ‘world-class readings’ to her customers, to who she offers her services through her website.

Off the bat, I don’t like that she doesn’t tell us the names of these “talented and famous” psychic relatives. I don’t know about you, but I would be proud of my psychic family members that came before me and were so gifted that royalty consulted them. I would be sure to let everyone know their names so those who would like to could look them up and learn more about them!

Services That Medium Maria Provides

Maria does business like this: You subscribe to her mailing list from her website, and she emails you a free reading every month. Then, if you want a personalized and detailed reading from her, you pay for it through an email link. She guarantees she’ll send you your reading within 48 hours of receiving payment. Getting free readings every month sounds nice, but her motives run deeper.

She provides you with these free readings to keep in touch with you, hoping you’ll decide to pay her for a more detailed reading. I usually wouldn’t have a problem with this, except that the content of the readings is unethical to me. I don’t like it when “psychics” prey on people’s anxieties, fears, and emotions to convince them to give money. Curses aren’t real, and being told you have one placed on you is the oldest trick in the psychic book. Please don’t fall for it!

If a psychic were genuine, they wouldn’t reach out to you using words and language that they know will trigger your anxiety and scare you. Maria’s website is also filled with e-books for sale in her “occult shop.” They range from $29.95 to $49.95. The subjects range from explaining what auras are to teaching about candles and perfumes. I would rather spend this money consulting an actual psychic and getting this information in person.

Why I Don’t Like Readings Done Through Email

I’m also not a big fan of getting psychic readings solely through email; I prefer a personal touch where I can speak directly or instant chat with a psychic. Waiting on emailed readings gives fake psychics a chance to research me and make things up that they know I want to hear. I’d rather have my questions and concerns addressed in real time as I ask them. As unbiased as I wanted to be towards Maria and believe she’s credible, I can’t recommend her. I came across several red flags, outlined one by one below in an attempt to be as detailed as possible:

First Red Flag – Her Privacy Policy Lists Two Questionable Addresses

Medium Maria addresses

Medium Maria’s privacy policy on her website lists these two addresses:

Mediaweb Limited
Room 1004
10/F Railway Plaza
39 Chatham Road South
Tsim Sha Tsui
Kowloon, Hong Kong

And

Mediaweb Limited
8A Pitmans Alley
Main Street, Gibraltar

I’ve mentioned Gibraltar-based company New Lotus Web Ltd. when reviewing Esmeralda Psychic, Extraordinary Chris, and William, The Guardian Angel. I explained why I don’t trust any businesses out of Gibraltar- if you haven’t read it, I urge you to click here and do so. Aside from the Gibraltar address, there’s also a Hong Kong address.

While this may seem ordinary enough, it’s shady to me. This address makes me suspicious because, mixed in with legitimate companies, numerous shady businesses operate out of here. The reason is that, despite being in China, Hong Kong doesn’t have to follow Chinese laws. This freedom allows them to get away with much more than other companies, making it extremely difficult to get a refund or file complaints against them.

If you’re not from these countries, like Medium Maria, there’s no reason to do business in these countries unless you’re trying to get away with something. Though she never says where she or her family is from or gives any personal background information about herself (another thing I don’t like), something tells me she isn’t from either of these places.

Second Red Flag – She Lies About Being A World-Renowned Psychic

I take issue with her claiming to be a world-renowned psychic because she has nothing to back this up. By her logic, any of us can call ourselves that and start selling our “psychic” services. To be considered “world-renowned,” you must be extremely good at what you do and gain recognition from others. This title is usually one others give you because they’re impressed with your abilities, not something you call yourself. To be a well-known household name, you must show people your work in action.

I haven’t found anything depicting Maria physically at work, no videos or anything. That’s because she doesn’t do anything in front of an audience. She does all her readings behind a computer screen, which doesn’t inspire confidence in me. Therefore, I don’t think she should be able to call herself a world-renowned psychic medium. Giving yourself a title you can’t back up is shady and deceiving.

Third Red Flag – The Readings She Sends Aren’t Written By A Real Person

Medium Maria scam

When you do an image search for Medium Maria, you see an attractive young woman with short dark hair. Other sources linking to her site show the same woman, BUT I don’t like what I discovered when I investigated. By performing a reverse image search on her picture, I discovered that photos of this same woman are for sale on stock image websites like Shutterstock.com. Anyone can buy photos of people on these stock image sites, which you can use for anything.

Unless Medium Maria has a second job as a stock image model, the pictures we see of her aren’t her. Why would a genuine psychic buy stock photos to pass off as herself instead of using actual images of herself?? This illusion is another example of how she’s just a person created by Mediaweb Limited to make money.

Fifth Red Flag – The Content of Her Readings

Aside from the fact that I don’t like readings I can only get by email, I also don’t like the content of Maria’s emailed readings. They’re so broad and generic, and this goes for both the free AND the supposedly personalized readings you pay for. None show psychic abilities or make me believe she has a gift. As I mentioned, the readings have a threatening tone to scare you into continuing to pay for her help. They can apply to anyone and are not specific to one person at all.

Her emails are anxiety-inducing, and her goal is to “save” you from your bad luck (that she’s making up) and turn the tables for you before things get bad. They’re ruthless and never-ending. The emails aim to convince you to pay for an emergency reading; this isn’t how legitimate psychics do business. Like those on trusted online psychic networks, genuine psychics have morals and ethics. They know that those who reach out to them for help are usually vulnerable and are going through difficult situations.

These psychics act with integrity and treat their customers with dignity. They don’t hound them nonstop with emails trying to scare them into continuing to pay for more and more readings. The goal of real psychics is quite the opposite. They intend to relieve your anxiety and help you find inner peace, and they want to teach you how to move forward and grow ahead in life without letting fear hold you back. You should never trust a psychic who purposely incites fear and anxiety in you.

This isn’t to say that everything a psychic says will be good. Sometimes, they might have to tell you something you won’t like or prefer not to hear. However, a genuine psychic will always explain why this information is essential and why you must discuss it. They concentrate on your situation and walk you through it every step until it’s resolved.

Also, when you speak to a psychic from one of these trusted psychic networks, it’s because you contacted them- they didn’t reach out to you by scaring you into calling them. Authentic psychics don’t send marketing emails saying you need to contact them because bad luck is coming your way or they have critical information about you. They’ll never threaten you by saying they’re the only ones who can help you avoid a catastrophe.

If you ever get these emails from a supposed psychic, be aware it’s a lie and scam. Please don’t fall for it. Real psychics are too busy guiding those that seek them out with their problems. They’re not waiting behind a computer picking up your bad vibes, and hoping they get your email address right so they can warn you about your upcoming misfortune. The best thing you can do is ignore the types of emails that Medium Maria, Extraordinary Chris, or Esmeralda Psychic send.

If you reply even once, they’ll see you as susceptible and naïve and won’t stop hounding you with email after email. The emails will become more threatening, hoping they’ll break you and you’ll pay them to save you. Their “help” isn’t cheap either, and you might not even receive it after paying. Learn from my mistakes, and don’t let these scammers take your hard-earned money!

My Verdict – Medium Maria Is Not A Genuine Psychic

Long story short, my opinion is that even though Medium Maria’s website seems authentic enough, digging deeper reveals that this is not a trustworthy psychic who I would recommend. I don’t think it’s run by an actual psychic but by an automated bot created by Mediaweb Limited. The fact that the photos of her aren’t even actually her and are a stock image they purchased only adds to my distrust. With so many red flags, it isn’t hard to conclude that Medium Maria is a scam and not legitimate.

I wanted to give her a fair chance and discover that she was a genuine psychic, but I just couldn’t. I couldn’t identify her or her famous psychic family and couldn’t verify anything she said about herself on the website. At least with psychic networks such as Psychic Source, you know the psychic you’re speaking to has been tested, verified, and offered a satisfaction guarantee. My best advice would be to save yourself the hassle and stick with a psychic from one of the reliable psychic networks below instead.

  1. i’m looking for psychics and mediums in pasadena california but found nothing in my area .

    • Hi Katy,

Sometimes it can be hard to find an honest Psychic in your local area. Consider trying a phone, chat or video based Psychic reading. There are several honest Psychics you can reach 24/7/365 like that. See my psychic reviews page for trustworthy Psychic websites online.

  3. I agree that there are many fake psychics, but Maria did not tell me bad luck was coming my way, but rather fabulous incredible good luck is coming. She said my life would not be a bed of roses (whose is?), but that I would soon enjoy a good turn around for the better.

Is any of it true? I don’t know, but before I even heard of Maria I’ve “sensed” a change coming in my life and it could be what she’s talking about.

    • This is the scam Debbie. She will tell you that some incredible good luck is coming your way but there is some energy or spirit blocking it from happening. Of course for a small fee they can remove that for you. Don’t fall for it.

      • I also fell into this kind of trap for a whole year. I was promised good news and many changes but always lagging behind on it. I had bad luck my whole life. I spent a lot on money on credit cards and now am even deeper into debt.

  4. I am wondering how do I get a Psychic reading?

  5. Thank you for the great information you give. Another scammer you might want to look into is psychic Elisa. I know there a lot of scammers out there and impossible to expose all of them but the more that are exposed the more people wont be taken in by charlatans and giving real psychics a bad name. Keep up the good work.

  6. PADRE. Yes or No ?
Do u think I can get refund ?
I should gone to you first.

    You sounds so sincere ….

  7. Bewere of maria medium is a scam

  8. Thank you Angela for exposing these frauds.

  9. I can not believe how stupid I have been over the last 5 or 6 years.
I have been so busy (going around in circles), I kept falling for Maria’s “you must move quickly to avert a terrible incident” or your lucky numbers for this week are ….
I have paid and paid. I finally stopped and did a telly up of funds I have paid over these years.
I am embarrassed to tell you it is in the thousands
Maria, to you and all the support group that work behind you “I feel sorry for you !!”

  10. Is Tara psychic a legit . I spent lots of monies on her services with promises after promises of changes which never came. One entire year of promises and I am further into debt. She claimed that I could have a refund if not satisfied but after weeks and weeks of requesting monies ,I just de died to unsubscribe could not spent anymore.
